Who is the true Israel?

The scriptures underline the significance of Israel with its stamp that only Israel will be saved (Isaiah 45:17-19, 2 Esdras 7:10-11, Romans 11:26-27). This weight of importance ensures that knowing the true Israel cannot be taken for granted. It is the knowledge we must all acquire and live by.

The lineage of Israel has come through the ages, despite many scattered within the gentile nations. The Jews have established themselves in the land of Israel, but is this what the scriptures speak of when referring to the true Israel?

Traditional Jewish couple

blood Lineage Deception

There are many claims today of the lineage of Jacob outside of the Jews living in the physical land of Israel. Indeed, this is prophecied that many tribes of Israel will be scattered amongst the gentiles. They would not know their lineage, language or God.

Blood Lineage

This fact has caused many to err in movements such as the Hebrew Israelites and its many incarnations. It has also caused many within Christianity to dig their heels in and condemn their souls to the fire by pointing to false doctrines, thereby mistakenly establishing in their minds that theirs is correct.

No doctrine is correct if it elevates itself above God

While he yet spake I saw another coming from afar, beautiful, and his angels singing hymns,

And I asked: Who is this, Lord, that is fair of countenance?

And he said unto me: Dost thou not know him?

And I said: No, Lord.

And he said to me: This is Moses the lawgiver, unto whom God gave the law. And when he was nigh me, straightway he wept, and after that he greeted me;

And I said unto him: Why weepest thou? for I have heard that thou excellest all men in meekness.

And he answered, saying: I weep for them whom I planted with much labour, for they have borne no fruit, neither doth any of them do well. And I have seen all the sheep whom I fed that they are scattered and become as having no shepherd, and that all the labours which I have endured for the children of Israel are come to nought, and however great wonders I did in their midst [and] they understood not: and I marvel how the strangers and uncircumcised and idolaters are converted and entered into the promises of God, but Israel hath not entered in: and now I say unto thee, O brother Paul, that in that hour when the people hanged up Jesus whom thou preachest, God the Father of all, which gave me the law, and Michael and all the angels and archangels, and Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the righteous wept over the Son of God that was hanged on the cross. And in that hour all the saints waited upon me, looking on me and saying: Behold, Moses, what they of thy people have done unto the Son of God. Therefore blessed art thou O Paul, and blessed is the generation and people that hath believed thy word.

The Apocalypse of Paul 48

The scriptures teach that those of the lineage of Israel hardly enter the kingdom of God. But, the gentiles, the uncircumcised and idolaters are converted. This revelation shows that the blood lineage of Jacob does not guarantee salvation.

And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Micah 4:2 KJV

As did Isaiah (Isaiah 2:3), Micah reveals the prophecy of the gentiles turning to God. The sacrifice of the Son of God fulfilled this prophecy, and the words of Jesus that he came to fulfil were established (Matthew 5:17). God made the gentiles clean; therefore, let no man call them unclean (Acts 10:15).

The prophecy of Isaiah and Micah is fulfilled, but the law remains, and all who desire to serve God will come to Zion and walk in his paths. The law will go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.

Acts 28:28 KJV

The true Israel

Undefiled: The true Israel

If you desire to enter the kingdom of God, but only Israel is saved, how do you enter? At the same time, the door to heaven is open to the gentiles, but are the gentiles Israel?

How do we decipher this conundrum?

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Psalms 73:1 KJV

This passage shows the equivalency between Israel and those who have clean hearts. To be clean from impurities is to be righteous and clothed in white linen (Revelation 19:8). To become righteous and therefore a child of God, one must be enveloped by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35, Matthew 12:50), who then leads into all truths (John 16:13). This understanding is what many Jews could not reach despite having the Son of God amongst them.

The covenant was given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The covenant was given to Israel, so the Pharisees and Sadducees could not understand that Israel is not limited to lineage.

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Matthew 3:9 KJV

They believed that because they were of the lineage of Jacob and kept the laws by the letter, they were saved. They kept the laws with unclean hearts, believing they could robotically go through the motions without bending the knee of their hearts (Romans 2:27, Romans 7:6). The gentiles also could be raised to be children of Abraham through clean hearts.

Submission to God is the only acceptable offering.

Synagogue of Satan

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Revelation 3:9 KJV

The garden of God, Canaan—Israel—Eden (Ezekiel 28:13, Ezekiel 31:8-9), was there at the beginning and as a shadow of things recreated in Israel. Israel was to be the light of the world, being an example of God, so much as to bring the queen of Sheba to bow before God (1 Kings 10:1-13). She indeed was a gentile even before Jesus spoke to Peter on the roof (Acts 10:9-18), and even she will be a testimony against the Jews (Luke 11:31).

The Jews are a synagogue of Satan not because they are not of the lineage of Jacob but because they are not of the family of God. They do not do the will of God and have clean hearts. Because they believe in the letter of their laws, rejecting Jesus, they consider the gentiles spit and treat them as such.

54. And after these, Adam also, whom thou madest lord of all thy creatures: of him come we all, and the people also whom thou hast chosen.

55. All this have I spoken before thee, O Lord, because thou madest the world for our sakes.

56. As for the other people, which also come of Adam, thou hast said that they are nothing, but be like unto spittle: and hast likened the abundance of them unto a drop that falleth from a vessel.

2 Esdras 6:54-56 KJV

The church (people) of Satan

White linen, clean, undefiled. A clean heart. True Israel.

The Israel that counts are those with clean hearts: who submit to God and follow the decree he placed from the beginning.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

2 John 1:6 KJV

Adam was judged after he disobeyed God, the same as this age is judged for their stance against God. Melchizedek’s priesthood (Psalms 110:2-4) stood before Aaron’s priesthood, and so did the laws of God.

10. And I said, It is so, Lord. Then said he unto me, Even so also is Israel’s portion.

11. Because for their sakes I made the world: and when Adam transgressed my statutes, then was decreed that now is done.

2 Esdras 7:10-11 KJV

The things that defile us come from our hearts (Matthew 15:16-20); this has been the commandment from the beginning. God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7, Acts 13:22) and not merely the outward appearance.

ISRAEL — He will rule as God.
