What does it mean “Jesus is coming soon”?

I have heard many times as I am sure many people have also — especially those who have come into contact with Christianity, that Jesus is coming soon.

Jesus is coming soon

These words have been spoken for hundreds and even thousands of years in many languages, yet here we are and no return. The Word of God says what it means and means what it says, so then how come there has not been a return yet?

Where is the messiah?

Is it that God’s short is much longer than our short? He told us to watch for the signs through the study of his Word, but should we watch if he isn’t going to come in our generation?

Yes, we all need to watch. God is speaking to you, and he has made it personal. He is speaking to you as an individual, and the context is to you personally.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 3:11 (KJV)

It doesn’t matter if God comes in 150 years or 1,000 years or even 1,000,000 years because you will not live that long. You only have your lifespan to choose to follow God and embrace his truth. You only have until you die to make that choice, to choose God and walk perfectly in his law. So many die young, and then their fate is sealed – there is no coming back. For each of he is coming soon!

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 22:12 (KJV)

Choose today who you will serve

Make your choice now before it is too late. No one knows what will happen tomorrow. Nobody knows how long before their time is up, before they close their eyes, die and seal their fate. At that time, will you have the seal of God or the Mark of the Beast?

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Revelation 22:20 (KJV)
