This post intends to shine a light on one of the biggest misconceptions today about getting to God. The clever teaching of the Churches, Temples, Mosques, Synagogues, Shrines or religious bodies that they are the ones designated to guide the individual on their journey to God is heinously false.
Oh, so many people have fallen headfirst into this severe deception. They will never escape unless they take the step of self-responsibility for their journey to God. Taking that step is tremendously daunting but essential to getting to know God and saving your soul.
In plain sight
8. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 9. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 11. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
You must not exalt yourself, and you must not appoint anyone as your leader or master outside of Jesus. The clever usage of the word minister today, which means servant, subtly disguises that the “ministers” act as your masters—substituting the position of Jesus with themselves and disregarding the Father with their doctrines.
Unveiling the mysteries
The search for God unveils one of the biggest mysteries for those sincerely seeking God. You can only get to the Father through personally seeking him out. Shocking, I know. Although this is spoken so often, many do not appear to comprehend what it means. You have to choose between God and this world.
You cannot navigate the road to the Father—the narrow path, but the Son will guide you to the Father after the Father sends you to the Son. First, you must seek God.

You can count on it
Searching with all your heart, just as most people do for money, will undoubtedly be rewarded with a guide.
The guarantee is not just a personal guarantee by myself, who each day commit more and more to this path; this is a guarantee by the word of God.
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
The guide will guide you, but you must walk the path no matter how difficult it may be. I can testify that the guide has walked with me and is faithful and righteous.
Seeking God
Seeking the Father is not going to the churches, temples, mosques, synagogues, or shrines and participating in formalised rituals. Searching for the Father begins with a genuine desire to know the truth as opposed to just being comforted to be able to carry along with the world.
Deep down, we all know what is on offer in this world—its carnal desires and rewards that are not worth our life. Do you chase these empty goals and then die, or get to know the truth of this world and see the one God is all that matters.

The Christians who haven’t studied the scriptures would take offence to my mention of other religions alongside Christianity. However, those who have studied the scriptures would realise that the word of God is everywhere and Christianity itself is in dire straits. Modern-day Christianity, not “the followers of Jesus”, but Christianity as a religion today is no better than Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, etc. It is just another branding for the same product. Yes, Christianity teaches about the one who is necessary for salvation. However, does Christianity explain what it means to know the Son of God?
No!
- Moab and Ammon came from Lot, the nephew of Abraham. Lot, the righteous man who was saved from Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:31-38).,
- The world was repopulated by Shem, Ham and Japheth (Genesis 9:18-19).
- Ninevah that God sent Jonah to deliver his word to rescue them from his wrath was not Israel, but most likely Assyria (Genesis 10:11, Genesis 10:22, Genesis 10:22). God took the time and counselled Jonah about his love for his creation (Jonah 4).
- The woman at the well was an Israelite; although not from the northern kingdom, still Jesus offered her living water (John 4:11-12).
- God was among Israel as his chosen nation to bring forth his son to deliver the world (Galatians 3:14, Amos 3:2)
Walk by faith
It is to walk in step behind without knowing every aspect of the journey. It is to trust in following His commands as He has revealed them to you. Remove all your biases and seek Him from a fresh perspective. Validate everything through his Word and reject anything or anyone who rejects His word. His guidance is not a license to sit and be passive but rather follow with action.
Individual journey
A lonely walk
No one can walk this road for you. Each person must accept the outstretched hand of God for themselves and take his Word for themselves and walk for themselves. Understanding must be for each person rather than relying on the pastor, guru, monk, pujari, rabbi, imam, etc. The only one who can guide you to God is Jesus.
The path to destruction is broad while the way to life to narrow. The road to the Father is long and hard. It is not saying a prayer just before you die. Righteousness is the only state in which you can appear to the Father. Nothing else is acceptable in the end.
1. My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: 2. That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge. 3. For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4. But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. 5. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. 6. Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. 7. Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. 8. Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: 9. Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: 10. Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger; 11. And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, 12. And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 13. And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! 14. I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
Without the knowledge of God, you are lost. It is essential that you can answer clearly for yourself and others why you believe and what you believe. You must not be embarrassed to speak about God wherever you are. Denying God and his Son is a grievous insult and utter hypocrisy for anyone to say that they serve God but are embarrassed to speak about Him. Jesus spoke of God without flinching and spoke the words of the Father, and so must you.
Conclusion
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
There is no better day than today. Those who are afraid to step out on their own, or better said, with God beside them, will not make it into the kingdom. The lazy will not make it into the kingdom. The drunkards and those drunk on religious highs will not make it into the kingdom. The arrogant who refuse to let go of doctrines built on sand will not make it into the kingdom. Only the ones who truly seek the God of heaven will make it.
There is only one king, and that is Jesus. There is only one God, and that is the Father. Let the Spirit of Truth guide you. You will not only have to listen, but you will have to act. If the road were easy, then all the decisions would be easy. Don’t be left out through inertia, laziness or fear.
