There are times when I stop hearing God’s voice, and at those times, I feel alone and abandoned. The more I pull away, by not reinforcing my bond through immersing myself in the things of him, the more the connection dims. The more I engage with the world, the more the connection was severed.
I would cry out in my heart and implore God to reassure me that I still walked with him — was I still on the journey to righteousness. I have given my life over to him, despite the many challenges including:
- being laughed at by colleagues
- being ridiculed by so-called Christians
- being the target of exploitation — the defacto position of everyone when you say you are a Christian
My imperfect human state causes me to succumb to distractions — taking my eye off him for one second and then two.
Yahusha walked the earth and taught showed the way to the kingdom — righteousness. He demonstrated the power of God and lived a life that ensured that there was no confusion between his kingdom and this world.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)
Show the people God through the demonstration of his power and live a life that exemplifies him. There are many deceivers, but the kingdom of God is in stark contrast to the throne of Satan.
