this question. Even the ones who profess to be righteous are left dumbfounded when asked what is supposedly a simple, crucial, and mandatory question of knowledge. Can someone be righteous by accident? Or, can someone make an excuse for ignorance when having access to the time and resources to acquire the knowledge?

Testifying of God is a reader-supported publication. They profess that since we are now under the doctrine of “Grace,” committing sins is of no consequence, and it is impossible to be perfect in the sight of God. Only his grace (pardon) can be relied upon for salvation despite the Bible saying that we should have a renewed mind and be perfect (Matthew 5:48, Romans 12:2, Philippians 3:15, James 1:4, Revelation 3:2).

Nevertheless, this post examines whether this conclusion is correct. Should our minds be renewed now with the help of God, or should we wait for a pardon without the proper change?

Once one submits to the authority of the religion/denomination under the guise of submitting to God, their requirements have been fulfilled, and the knowledge of the scriptures outside of the relevance and interpretation of the institutions does not matter.

What is sin?

Sin is plainly said to be breaking the law of God.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth (breaks) also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

1 John 3:4

There is no other definition for sin, and it is unquestionably intertwined with the laws of God. The scriptures act as a dictionary to itself; thus, the meaning of sin must be taken from within and no other source.

14. but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

James 1:14-15

Evil is a subjective word, thus relative to a subject. In the context of the Bible, evil is relative to God since only God is good (Mark 10:18). Therefore, to be enticed into evil is to go opposite to God—his laws—his commands—his will.

Sin, therefore, is opposition to God.

What is righteousness?

In Genesis 7:1, the word righteous is used, being translated from the Hebrew צַּדִּיק (tsaddîyq), meaning just or lawful. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the meaning of just is:

acting or being in conformity with what is morally upright or good

Also, in Matthew 9:13, the word righteous is used, being now translated from the Greek δίκαιος (díkaios), meaning equitable or just. The Merriam-Webster dictionary now defines equitable as follows:

having or exhibiting equity : dealing fairly with all concerned

The word righteous means to be fair and have a balanced scale in all your dealings—all morally upright actions built on God's unquestionable fair and equitable standard.

Sin vs. Righteous

Since righteousness is God's standard of right, and sin is disobedience to God (1 Samuel 15:21-23)—what is wrong, it becomes clear that these two things are opposites.

Sin is the opposite of righteousness.

These two standards are based solely on God. Align yourself with God's will and become righteous and perfect, or otherwise, become sinful and imperfect.

Should we sin?

In Christianity, there is a tendency to disassociate sin from God’s commands or will and ascribe moral uprightness to the standards set by society. Being good is no longer predicated on God's standard but on that of society. In addition, the grace doctrine, built on faith alone and reformed theology, contradicts the scriptures and devolves into moronic theology.

These doctrines distract from the core of sin and righteousness and take the conversation into a faraway mythical realm. Ultimately, they conclude that only a select few who rely on faith alone will be subject to God's grace and saved. Whereas I agree the path to God is narrow, I wholely disagree with their usage of the word “grace.” Their view of God’s grace is seen as his mercy when deciding who to save despite the indulgence in sin due to the individual’s diminished and unclear responsibility.

When we remove sin and righteousness from the fairytale realm, we see that sin cannot be indulged since we must be righteous, which is the opposite of sin. Despite the theology presented by Christianity, the scriptures clearly show that sin plays a vital role in our path through life if we want to be on the right side of God.

The actual “Grace” doctrine

The account of the woman caught in adultery in John 8:1-11 perfectly demonstrates the “Grace” doctrine.

In this account, the woman was caught in the act of adultery, where there was no denying or debating as to her guilt. Using the law as the judge, the punishment is death, as pointed out by the Pharisees. Their reason for highlighting what is evident to all who know the law is due to the teachings of Jesus—his apparent challenge of the law or their understanding of it. They attempt to discredit Jesus in the people’s eyes and thereby win back their control over them and continue down their path unchallenged.

Jesus then challenged those who accused the woman to stone her if they were sinless. Not just the ones who sinned in the past but anyone without a current sin. One by one, from eldest to youngest, they left until none remained. Now, one might assume Jesus was using Matthew 5:21-24 to say that one must resolve their issues first before bringing anything before God (including the judgment of another); however, his following statement dispels any notion of this.

Jesus said, “Even I do not condemn you”. A sinless one does not condemn the woman caught red-handed in adultery. Thus, despite the law’s death prescription, Jesus gave this woman grace.

Jesus delayed the judgment of death for sinning instead of abolishing sin.

However, one vital event remains in the “should we sin” debate. Jesus told the woman despite being shown grace, she should not continue to sin.

Final thoughts

Jesus’s life on earth was a testimony (Revelation 19:10), the evidence of how to worship God. As he demonstrated, the true grace doctrine does not eliminate sin but rather highlights that the laws of God are still in effect, but the consequence of physical death is removed, or judgment is delayed. Righteousness—fairness—in every action and thought, based on God's foundational standards and laws, is a light to shine forth from the mountaintops.

14. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

I fear that we in the world have been pressured on both sides: the pressures derived from worldly desires of the flesh and the sustenance of life, plus the innate desire to seek out our creator and spiritual purpose, while being misled in the outlets (churches, monasteries, mosques, temples, and synagogues) which claim to serve that purpose.

We have been conditioned by our desires or by force to love or need money, and the institutions claiming to serve our spiritual needs instead affirm that our position in the world is in line with God's wishes. They reassure us that our current state of indulgence and living in the world is okay with God, and there is no need for change. There is no need to renew our minds and be perfect in the sight of God. Therefore, so many indulge in sin without remorse or even with delight and stubbornness and hang on to the hopes that they are in God's good graces.

To be righteous is not a spiritual abstraction but a way of life:

Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.

Leviticus 18:5

Testifying of God is a reader-supported publication. Why would God engage or reward wickedness? I can imagine God looks at the credit given to him as a slap in the face when the gift he is credited for goes directly against his values. Morality, Cleanliness and Equity are at the heart of his principles; therefore, why would God give you a garment which flaunts your sexuality? Why would he give you a car that was unfairly gained or gained by the exploitation of others? Why would he destroy your body in an expensive restaurant serving unclean foods which defile your body? Or why would he grant you a handsome spouse who lives for the world and drags you along with them?

It is written that wisdom comes from God, and the prosperity of his people—those who do his will—depends on God. Christianity stands firmly on grace being God’s compassion, and therefore, keeping the law equals rejecting the sacrifice of Jesus, who brought God’s grace. If we believe in the name of Jesus, the word “Jesus”, we will be saved. Despite the long-standing beliefs, there is more to this story than Christianity teaches, and that missing knowledge means life or death.

Satan has employed the “the straw that broke the camel’s back” strategy. Yes, if you didn’t know, this is a strategy, and many evangelists of false doctrines use it. They introduce and promote many wrong interpretations of scriptures, distort valid doctrines, and create many doctrines that create an illusion of completeness, leading many into destruction. The grace doctrine falls into this category, distorted to get people to worship Satan by rejecting the commands of God, the single most crucial aspect of the scriptures and the definition of sin.

A precursor to understanding this concept, we must understand several things first:

The biblical definition of Grace

God gives us his Son

Jesus brings us to God

Testifying of God is a reader-supported publication. Therefore, Noah found favour with God and God had compassion on him by saving his life during the great flood.

Give to the Son

John writes the words of Jesus, showing the Father gives those he has selected to his Son. Jesus also states that he came to do the will of his Father, and his Father’s will is that he should lose nothing his Father gives him and raise them on the last day.

37. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:37-40

Those whom Jesus delivers from this world are sent to him by God, exemplifying the Father's status and the Son's role. God is in charge, and his Son does his will. There is one God.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 11:3

Deliver to the Father

The Son’s role, as seen earlier, is to deliver those whom God sends to him back to God. This fact indicates that those sent to Jesus need help, and Jesus is the one who cleans or brings them to a state acceptable to God. He also delivers them through the trials of this world, whose intent is to swallow them up into sin (Revelation 12:12).

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

Nobody gets to God without the Son. The Son is the one who makes changes in our lives and helps us navigate the deceptions and persecutions of the world. Knowing this makes the following verse clear, explaining why the elect cannot be deceived.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:24

Jesus leads the elect, so it is impossible to deceive them. The elect are designated to be delivered to God.

Jesus & the Holy Spirit

The role of Jesus overlaps the role of the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God). This can be seen in the following passages:

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

John 14:28

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 14:26

<sup>16. </sup>And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

John 14:16-20

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:11

These passages provide an interesting dilemma. 1 Corinthians 6:11 and John 14:26 refer to the Comforter (The Holy Spirit) as separate from Jesus. Meanwhile, John 14:16-20 and John 14:28 make them one. Jesus states that he will go and return, not leaving the elect comfortless.

What does it mean if the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who formed the Son of God (Luke 1:35) through supernatural means and is one with God and the elect, the servants of God?

One often means from the same source and one in purpose. Jesus came from the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God. Jesus does the will of God, his Father, and is therefore from one source and has one purpose with God. The elect, the children of God, are called gods (Psalms 82:6, John 10:34); those who do the will of God are also from one source, through the adoption (Matthew 12:49-50), and of one purpose.

Understanding Grace

<picture></picture>

<g>

</g><polyline points="15 3 21 3 21 9"></polyline><polyline points="9 21 3 21 3 15"></polyline><line x1="21" x2="14" y1="3" y2="10"></line><line x1="3" x2="10" y1="21" y2="14"></line>

8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; They choose to express themselves in the easiest possible way. Tradition also plays a massive role in their approach, but often, what is consistent is when a need arises, it is met without hesitation, whether or not it falls within the confines of their doctrine. Jesus fulfilling the law is a core doctrine of Christianity and all its denominations — a cornerstone of the teachings of all Christian churches. The answer to this doctrine is crucial since so many things depend on it.

Students of the scriptures know that the path to God is narrow due to the difficulty in learning and keeping the truth.

Testifying of God is a reader-supported publication. To get on that narrow way, it is beyond a doubt that this question must be answered conclusively.

God & half-measures

Sodom and Gomorrah yielded three saved because of one man’s righteousness. The flood yielded eight saved because of Noah, a preacher of righteousness. Even the angels in heaven who sinned were cast out awaiting judgment. This demonstrates that those who do not submit to God's commands will not be spared the wrath of God.

<sup>4. </sup>For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
<sup>5. </sup>And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
<sup>6. </sup>And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

2 Peter 2:4-6

He has often made it clear that sins will not go unpunished (Exodus 34:5-7), where sin is breaking his laws or commands (1 John 3:4). It is thus evident that knowing and committing to the truth is without question.

To keep the law or not?

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:17

The loose interpretation of this verse is the primary basis used to teach that Jesus fulfilled or accomplished the law. Through these teachings, the law is done away with, allowing the followers of this doctrine to do as they please freely, or more, as the institution they choose to attend teaches.

Nevertheless, since the scriptures teach that precept must be upon precept and line upon line, here a little and there a little (Isaiah 28:13), we understand that the scriptures are self-validating, and all the dots must line up. Luke, therefore, shows that the fulfilment Jesus referred to was not according to the teachings of Christianity, but the things written in the books of the law (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers & Deuteronomy), the prophets and the psalms that he would accomplish.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Luke 24:44

One aspect not often addressed is if the law is fulfilled, must the prophets also be fulfilled? The more thought put into this shows just how illogical the conclusion of Christianity is.

The fulfilment of the law is in no way related to the disposal of the law, as neither is the fulfilment of the prophets in any way related to the disposal of the prophets. To fulfil as it’s written in the Bible means:

To Fulfil

Achieve or realise (something desired, promised, or predicted).

Carry out (a duty or role) as required, promised, or expected.

Greek: πληρόω
Transliteration: plēróō
Phonetic Spelling: play-ro'-o
Definition: To satisfy, execute, make full, complete.
Usage: I fill, fulfil, complete.
Strongs: G4137

The following examples demonstrate the words of Jesus:

27. And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
28. And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
29. And they that passed by railedon him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

Mark 15:27-29

21. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:21-13

And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Matthew 2:15

24. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 15:24-26

Furthermore, Jesus again spoke contrary to the law's destruction in Matthew, one more piece of the puzzle, showing the importance Jesus placed on the law of God.

17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:17-18

The thinking that the law is disposed of because Jesus has fulfilled it is flawed and is a doctrine taught in a religion which has placed itself above God. The heaven (sky) and the earth (ground) are still here; therefore, we can say that everything has not been fulfilled, and the law is not destroyed.

The meaning of “Justified by Christ.”

The word justified means to render just or innocent, to be free, or to be righteous. To become white as snow or wear white linen is the scripture’s way of showing that we are justified in the sight of God. The following passage, therefore, shows that we are justified or made righteous by the Son of God, but Jesus is not a minister of sin. The law cannot make us acceptable in the sight of God; it does not have the power. Jesus, working in our lives, can clean us up and make us into new persons. People who are worthy of God.

16. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

17. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

18. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

19. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

20. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:16-20

Jesus did not come to teach us to be servants of sin. He came to provide evidence of God and to liberate us from our sins. To make us acceptable to his Father, therefore, why would any of us subject ourselves to sin?

Conclusion

Ignoring the law or commands of God is tantamount to choosing not to serve God. The world attempts to make serving God as difficult and distasteful as possible; however, that does not make its position correct. The scriptures speak again quite clearly that Satan made war with the saints of God, the ones who keep the commands of God and hold the testimony of Jesus.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12:17

The laws are here to stay since disposing of God’s word is the same as throwing God away.

Serve God with all your heart and mind.

Testifying of God is a reader-supported publication.
