AFRAID to stand for God: Here is what happens!

The world has an alliance with one agreed focus: to destroy God. The nations may fight against each other for supremacy in the military, economy, and rulership, but one goal underpins them all, the hatred of God. The servants of God are commanded to stand for him in a war where their investment is all or nothing (Luke 14:27-35). Because of this, many are afraid to stand for God, allowing the enemy to run rampant, claiming many souls. Nevertheless, these things must come to pass. Even though the harvest is plenty and the workers are few, the few will work hard doing the will of God.

But what about those who are afraid to stand?

Afraid of persecution

Hiding afraid under pillows

The enemy has enlisted his army bearing the mark of the beast, while the people who claim to believe in God are afraid to stand in his army. Many stood in the past and were persecuted when they raised their heads above the parapet. The brutal and relentless persecution strikes fear in the hearts of many and stops them from standing for the Most High.

Some of those who believe will die, while others will be persecuted to bring them to their knees. Due to these experiences or seeing others endure them, fear has gripped deep in the bones of many. Unfortunately, seen through their actions, many who claim to believe in God hold the enemy in higher regard. These have built their foundation on sand instead of the rock of God.

These people claim they believe in God and argue with true Christians till the cows come home. Then, in the end, they hide behind their facade of lies to never stand against the world to glorify God. So many people go to churches, temples or mosques with a sense of security and comfort, using numerous excuses to stay out of the war. Or even fighting their war to establish their kingdom on earth. But there is no staying out of this war and no profit in building your earthly kingdom while disregarding God. You are either on God’s side or not.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

James 4:4 KJV
Staying out of the war is choosing the enemy.

Faith to stand for God

Faith is trust.

Anyone with faith in God must trust God.

God has promised to protect his servants and deliver them from their enemies (Deuteronomy 20:4, 2 Samuel 22:20, Psalms 37:40). He has promised to care for them more than the birds of the sky (Matthew 6:25-26). God has promised that despite their suffering, they will enjoy great rewards. He has promised that his servants will do greater things than Jesus (John 14:12). God has commanded that we stand bold in the face of the world (Jeremiah 1:8, Proverbs 28:1, Ephesians 3:12), and he will defend us. Yet many have the spirit of fear, which God has not given.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

Those who choose the world will not have as many obstacles as true Christians. However, fearing to pick your side explicitly will not end well. The beast (kingdom, rulership) has trampled this world in filth and perpetrated all evils through the love of money.

Pure avarice abounds!

Anyone who loves this world cannot love God, and anyone who does not stand for God will not be defended.

12. Woe be to fearful hearts, and faint hands, and the sinner that goeth two ways!

13. Woe unto him that is fainthearted! for he believeth not; therefore shall he not be defended.

Ecclesiasticus 2:12-13 KJV

Conclusion

Do the will of God: Stand for God

I encourage anyone who wants to enter the kingdom of God to walk forward and let the rain fall where it chooses. I implore them to swallow their pride and put it all on the line. God has put fearful and fainthearted people in the same category as sinners. They are disobedient to the commands, including going and preaching to all nations in the name of God.

Imagine being in a war and slinking off in the bushes because you were afraid. You did this despite your leader telling you on many occasions what the outcome would be and what would happen to those on the other side. You didn’t listen because it appeared the odds were not in your favour, and you could not see how the war would be won. Then after the inevitable victory, you attempt to sneak into the victory hall unseen through the side door (Matthew 7:21-23). What do you think will happen?

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 21:8 KJV
